The Grove Family Restaurant

The service in this place was spectacular but my family felt the food was average. The kids had pancakes, eggs, sausage, and bacon. The pancakes tasted fine but the texture of the outside was a bit odd because they weren't soft, so they didn't cut as effortlessly. Boyfriend had the French dip because he gets one everywhere he goes. He felt the seasoning on the meat was a bit much and rated it a 6. He can be odd when it comes to seasonings so I take that with a grain of salt. I had the chicken fried steak which was very good and great comfort food. We were just passing through town, but based on service alone I would look forward to coming back here and trying more items.

Dining area is a little crowded, but was pretty empty when we ate here. Bathrooms are single stall, and staff seem to share the same ones as customers. Many staff are eager to help, and you may find yourself still chewing the same bite through multiple staff asking if you need anything. Fried pickles as a premium side! And a good amount of them, too! Wish more places would follow their lead here, incredible! And they were delicious. Would eat here again if in the area if fried pickles remain the same amount for that cost. Value!

Awesome place to grab something to eat. Stopped in while I was in town and got the 3 piece chicken strip dinner. It comes with two sides and I picked the vegetable beef soup which is amazing and fries. Super fast service and super friendly staff. It is a two plus hours drive for me, but I will be back.

Hubby ordered chopped steak with grilled onions and hash browns with a salad and I ordered a western omelette with hash browns and a biscuit with gravy. Plus fried mushrooms and everything was great and so yummy and delicious. Cooked to perfection and it all tasted fresh. Large portions, we had leftovers. This is a must stop and eat here. Our waitress was so nice and friendly. We plan on eating here again. They serve breakfast all day.

Oh, My!! We were traveling through Mt Grove going to Branson and found this little country gem. From front door to back out the staff was fantastic. We ordered catfish and this was so delicious. The prices are very, very fair. No complaints here.
